CCNE-Accredited Online Programs

The baccalaureate degree program in nursing, master’s degree program in nursing, post-graduate APRN certificate program, and Doctor of Nursing Practice at Xavier University are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.

State Authorization

Content
Xavier University participates in the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements as an approved Ohio NC-SARA institution. Through this participation, Xavier is authorized to offer distance education programs to students located in all states (except California which is not currently a member in SARA). As an accredited, non-profit postsecondary educational institution, Xavier is exempt from California regulations related to the licensing of online postsecondary education offered to California residents. Therefore XU distance education programs can be offered in this state.

While Xavier is able to offer online programs to residents of all states through its participate in SARA, the College of Nursing and all its programs are subject to the rules and regulations of the Boards of Nursing in each state/territory where its students reside. Based upon individual state/territory rules and regulations, Xavier may not be able to offer admission to residents of each US state/territory into each program. In addition, as online licensure programs, Xavier’s Nurse Practitioner programs must meet educational requirements for licensure in a state/territory in order to admit residents. Students who are located in states or territories where Xavier does not meet educational requirements for licensure may complete an attestation that they intend to apply for licensure in a state or territory where Xavier does meet educational requirements for licensure. For specific information, see this list detailing whether each state/territory meets state authorization and licensure requirements. International Applicants

Xavier welcomes students from outside the United States to enroll in its online programs. However, some countries do not formally recognize foreign online degrees. This may have implications for enrolling in subsequent degree programs or for securing employment requiring these credentials. It is students’ responsibility to determine whether the online degree will be recognized in their country of residence or in any country in which they plan to work. Additionally, students should inquire in their country of residence how the collection of student data may be used and whether they will be subject to additional withholding taxes in addition to the cost of tuition.

International students who reside outside of the United States cannot be accepted into the MSN, MSN/MS (Criminal Justice major), or DNP program.
